Let's get one thing straight: I don't like Trump one bit. Let's get one more thing straight: I also don't like Joe Biden. I used to like them, Trump long before he started to think about politics, and Biden as Obama's Vice President. However, I feel they've both shown their true colors over the years. I shouldn't have to go over what they've done, but if you want a refresher, here's a link for Trump, and one for Biden. Keep in mind that this only scratches the surface on both.
Looking at both being accused of sexual harassment, notice how the tides have changed. When Trump was accused, the left was saying "we should believe them." "We should listen to what they have to say." And I believe that. However, when Biden had accusations come out about him, the left was singing the same tune Trump supporters were when Trump was accused: "She's only saying this to cost him the election." And Trump supporters are saying the same thing the left was saying when Trump was accused. The response should be universal. We should listen and investigate the accusations. Anyone that has information regarding it should share it. Anyone not involved should just keep their opinions to themselves. They weren't there. They should read about it or hear about it on the news. Do I think Trump or Biden did anything inappropriate? That's a long one to answer. Short answer: Yes. Anyone is capable of acting in the wrong. Trump has even said inappropriate things, so when his supporters even talk about Biden's accusations, I think they're just talking out of their asses. The truth of it all is both parties are bias to whomever is in their party. I'm registered independent. Boy, does that piss off both parties. Each humanoid I talk to expects me to pick a side. I try to pick what's best for me and society. Both have good ideas, and both have ideas that should never be talked about. So when asked who I'm voting for, I've been called a Trump supporter AND a Biden supporter because I plan to write in a name. I doubt the person I write in will win, but it's my right as a US citizen to do that. If Republicans or Democrats want me to vote for their candidate, find a better candidate. I'm always told when I write in a name, it's a vote for Trump or Biden (depending on which supporter I'm talking to. If it's a Biden supporter, they tell me my write-in is a vote for Trump, vice versa). Let's get one thing straight: if I check the box next to Donald Trump, that's a vote for Donald Trump. If I check the box next to Joe Biden, that's a vote for Joe Biden. If I write in a name, that's a vote for the person I wrote in. I don't believe in voting for the lesser of 2 evils. It's still evil. I respect people's right to vote the way they want even if I don't agree with it. However, they need to respect mine as well. I've thought about not telling people my plans for the election, but I feel like I'm quiet then. However, I would have a lot of senseless arguments.
For the last couple of decades, both parties have been attacking each other to no end. They get nothing done, and it's the people that suffer. We shouldn't have homeless people. We should let people come over from other countries to live here. What I see in every damn post arguing about Republicans and Democrats is who won the Civil War. Who was mostly apart of the KKK? Most of them have not done their history. The ideals of both parties changed over a long time ago. And it's funny that some of them are the same ones telling people to get over slavery.
It's time for new ideas, but we keep voting in the same people. We have many ways to obtain information. Yet, we don't use unless it's to take a quiz to see what we'd look like as a turtle.
