Enough With the Body Shaming!

If you go to about the minute mark in this video, you'll hear some jerk in the crowd call one of the female wrestlers fat. You'll also see the female wrestler stand up for herself. This took place at a Comicon event in Iowa. Some of the comments have been that the Brooke Valentine (female wrestler) should expect that being a wrestler. There's some truth to that. However, there's lots more truth to her being able to defend herself like she did. She could have decked the guy, but she didn't. She just made him aware of his stupidity (although I don't think he still is aware how stupid he is), and judging by the look on his face, he made him piss himself (especially since he could only say her name when she was done).
Comicons are supposed to be a fun environment without the bullying tactics seen or heard in this video by "Starlord." However, if women wear something revealing and males like what they see, instead of complimenting her on her costume, he slaps her on the ass or something else degrading. "If they're wearing something showing their ass, they should expect that kind of treatment." BULLSHIT! Here's what consent sounds like: Touch my ass! Here's what consent looks like: IT DOESN'T!! I don't get why it's so hard for people to hold that thought in their little minds. Yes, you must work your way to get whatever it is you want from her. I got to talk to Brooke Valentine after a show one night, and she's a very nice woman. This after I was heckling her WITHOUT MENTIONING HER WEIGHT! I didn't need to mention it to get a reaction from her. I just told her I didn't think she was going to win. It was great. We jawed each other the entire match like she did with everyone in the crowd. She's great at what she does. One of the things I like about her is that at one point, someone told her if she went to the gym and trained more (improve her look), she could make it to the top. Well, she didn't like that. She uses her attitude to make her successful. Most people might measure success by money, but I measure it by how many people they get to react to them. And she gets everyone to react to her. That's why she's so great at what she does. She knows how to get a reaction from people without bringing them down.
So the next time you decide to be a "Starlord," make sure you can back it up. Otherwise, you'll just look like a damn fool. And you'll be made famous all over the Internet. Keep your hands to yourself, and don't slap any ass that never asked for it verbally. That means the owner of the ass must say it him or herself. Starlord, geez. He's even the worst of the Guardians!
