Red Hot Chili Peppers In Concert

30th of May 2017

Last week, the Red Hot Chili Peppers made a stop at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. I won't say that I'm the biggest fan of RHCP, but I do like their music a little. I do have Bloodsugarsexmagik on CD, and I even think that CD is one that everyone should have in their collection. They had a childhood friend (Jack Irons) open up for them, and he was interesting. It was just him on the drums. While he is a great drummer, I wonder what he does with his show. Background music is played over the speakers, and he drums along with it. Again, great drummer, but I want more out of my music. After Irons was another band from Los Angeles. IronTom was an interesting band as well. The lead singer was always dancing weird, and I think I might have picked up some new cardio exercises. They were catchy, in good and bad ways. They played for about an hour, and then it was time for the Chili Peppers. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a great concert to attend. If the opportunity comes, take advantage of it. They know how to put on a show, and they enjoy doing it. Flea was all over the place, but the one that got me was Chad Smith, the drummer. I was amazed with his abilities behind the drums. He was just awesome, and he was having just as much fun with the crowd as the rest of the band. I only wanted to hear one song, and I knew it would be the last one they played. However, the songs before were great ear candy. The only downside to the concert is that concert goers seem to not know what a personal bubble is. One guy grabbed me to let someone through. If someone needs to get through, just tap me on the shoulder. I'll gladly let the person through. Don't grab me unless you're buying me dinner.
