The Force Awakens

21st of December 2015

WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS!! THIS DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS!! AGAIN, DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS!! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING!! IF YOU READ THIS, YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LATEST INSTALLMENT TO STAR WARS (WHICH IS EPISODE VII)!! Now that the spoiler warning is out of the way, I can go on with what I was going to say. In this one, I want to give my thoughts on the latest to come out of Star Wars. I saw the movie Sunday morning at Southridge 12 (I'm Southside. I keep it real). That's sooner than I thought I would see it, but I just couldn't wait. It wasn't a bad experience like I thought it would be. Nobody talked during the movie, and nobody cheered during it. Everyone was respectful. Now onto what I thought about the movie and the questions that I have (and if you have some, feel free to email me). After the movie, I blamed R2-D2 for Han Solo's death. Why, you ask? Well, BB-8 was trying to wake him up to put the map together, but R2 couldn't be bothered. The lazy bastard kept sleeping. So instead of finding Luke Skywalker sooner in the movie, Han has to find Kylo Ren and try to get him back to the lighter side of the Force. In doing such, if you saw the movie, you know what happened. However, I keep hearing that Harrison Ford wanted Han to die in Empire. Either way, I still loved Han Solo. However, if they would have killed Chewbacca, I would have rioted (don't take this comment serious).

The questions I had, which I'm sure will be asked in the next movie, are: 1) If Kylo Ren wasn't going to have any disfiguring on his face, why was he wearing a helmet and mask? 2) Where did this newly introduced character get Luke Skywalker's light saber? 3) Where did BB-8 come from? 4) How did the First Order come to rise? 5) Is Kylo Ren a Sith or something completely different? I've heard the term inquistitor thrown around, but that comes from the books. The movies and books are totally different. Those are just a few questions that I can think of right now. I'm sure I'm missing some questions that I had in the theater. Over all, I loved the movie. I did have questions, but this installment was going to do that since they have more movies planned in the future. Until 2020, to be exact. There will be a Star Wars movie out each year until 2020. I'm psyched for that. The one I'm looking forward to is the Han Anthology. I've always been a fan of Chewbacca, but I've grown to like Han Solo more and more over the years. I was disappointed that he wasn't mentioned in the prequels. However, was he even born yet? Probably not. I just wondered how he and Chewbacca had this tight bond and became practically inseparable. If you have any comments, feel free to email me. We can have a nice conversation about Star Wars, but not Star Trek. Nothing against Star Trek; I just never got into it. I don't know much about it. And this is about Star Wars.
